In Loving Memory of Timothy Lee Cook

Timothy Lee Cook, 66, of Mullins, South Carolina, passed away on August 28, 2026. Born on May 5, 1960, he was the son of the late R.B. and Flora Cook.

Timmy was a man who found his greatest joy in the simple things of life. He loved the outdoors, especially farming and fishing. If you were looking for him, chances were you would find him in his happy place, riding his John Deere tractor across the farm he loved so dearly. There, surrounded by the land and the peace of nature, he was truly at home.

Known for his wisdom and just as much for his stubbornness, Timmy never hesitated to share his advice, opinions, or lessons learned through years of hard work and experience. His family and friends often joked that changing his mind was nearly impossible, but they also knew his strong will was matched by an even bigger heart.

Timmy was the epitome of generosity. He loved sharing the fruits of his labor with family, friends, and neighbors, never expecting anything in return. Whether it was produce from the garden, fish from a successful day on the water, or simply a helping hand when someone needed it, Timmy gave with a cheerful heart and genuine kindness.

He is survived by his loving daughter, April Enscoe; his cherished granddaughter and the apple of his eye, Shelley Bessetti; and his adopted granddaughter, Gabby Bessetti. He is also survived by his brother, John 'Ricky' Cook; his sister, Connie Wells (Orson); uncles Frank (Diane) Woodberry and George Woodberry; Aunt Nora Smith; nephew Scott Wells and his wife, Rocki, whom Timmy often jokingly claimed was his favorite of the two; and their children, Camryn and Christian Wells. He is also survived by nieces Summer Cook, Taylor Godbold, and nephew Andrew Cook.  He is further survived by his brother-in-law, Lloyd (Denise) Turner, and a very special and devoted friend, Diane Demery, whose friendship and companionship brought great meaning to his life.

In addition to his parents, Timmy was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Crissy Bessetti; his brother, Jeff Cook; and his aunt, Doris Woodberry.

Timmy's legacy is one of hard work, generosity, resilience, and love. He will be remembered for his determination, his wisdom, and his willingness to help others. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created and the lives he touched will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

A Memorial Service celebrating Timmy's life will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Community Free Will Baptist Church, 644 Pine Street, Johnsonville, South Carolina 29555.

Though his earthly work is done, the harvest of love, friendship, and kindness that Timmy planted throughout his life will continue to grow for generations to come.
