Obituary
Ronald L. Root, age 79, of Myrtle Beach, SC. and formally of Bellevue, MI., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
Ronald was born on October 10, 1943, to the late Lester and Violet Root in Lansing, MI. He graduated from Haslett High School, Class of 1961. He retired in 1994 after 30 years of service with General Motors. Ronald had many hobbies such as golfing, fishing, bowling, riding around in his golf cart, going to the beach, and especially spending time with his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Betty L. Fuller Root, his children, Stephanie and Dick, Erik and Tracy, Randy and Tammy, Charlie and Judy, Kim and Jimmy, Jeff and Holly, 16 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren, his 2 brothers, Richard (Susie), and Robert, one sister, Carolyn, and two brothers-in-law, Butch and Don along with several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his sister, Marlene, and his great-grandson, Robbie.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Mr. Root is entrusted to the care of Kelvin F. Lewis, Funeral Director, and Lewis Crematory & Funeral Services of Myrtle Beach, SC.
