Rebecca Ann Honeycutt

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a deeply beloved young woman, Rebecca Ann Honeycutt, 33. Known to most as Becca, she was living in Myrtle Beach, SC at the time of her death. She was born on October 12, 1989, to Debra Johnson Honeycutt and Robert William Honeycutt, in Wake County, NC. She graduated from South Johnston High School in 2007, where she was a dedicated member of the color guard. Becca later performed with CVP Winterguard and the Carolina Gold Drum Corp, where she made meaningful friendships and was known for her humor and kindness. She attended UNC Greensboro before beginning her career with Ralph Lauren, where she worked for over 10 years.

Becca was proceeded in death by her father, Robert Honeycutt. She is survived by her mother Debra Honeycutt, and grandmother Thelma Johnson, both of Newton Grove, NC, as well as her sisters Katherine Honeycutt and her partner Jim Swinford of Bloomington, IL, Melinda Honeycutt, of Portland, OR, and her brother Matthew Honeycutt, and his partner David Eaton of Boston, MA. She also left behind four nieces, who absolutely adored their Aunt Becca. Aunts, uncles, cousins,  extended family, and community members loved her tremendously. Her death leaves an immeasurable void in many hearts and lives.

There is no service planned at this time. Instead, Becca’s family asks that people gather privately to talk, grieve, cry, laugh, and most importantly, remember what she meant to them. Please reach out to her mother and siblings to share your thoughts and memories of Becca. Hearing about how she impacted people and how they loved and enjoyed her has been tremendously comforting as we accept this incalculable loss.
