Raymond L. Brodeur

Raymond L. Brodeur, 77, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away on April 11, 2025, after declining health and heart issues.

He is survived by his son, Matthew R. Brodeur and his wife Shannon M. (Cabana) Brodeur from Millbury, MA; his daughter Nicole L. (Brodeur) Cooney and her husband Joseph J. Cooney from Millbury, MA; his grandchildren, Michael M. Brodeur, Ryan M. Brodeur, Jacob R. Brodeur, Rebecca M. Brodeur and Benjamin E. Cooney, all of Millbury, MA. He also leaves his sister, Gail Taft, also of Millbury, MA. He also leaves cousins and friends from all over.

Raymond was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred L. and Rita S. (Dupre) Brodeur, and a brother-in-law, Wesley Taft.

Raymond worked for Anderson Brush Company in Worcester, MA before moving to South Carolina. Once settled in Myrtle Beach, he became a jack-of-all-trades and spent many years working for Cooper Mechanical Services prior to retiring.

He enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and watching sports. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing darts, pool, and bowling. He was still willing to go to the pier and cast a line with his friends and grandson when he got the chance. But what brought him the most pleasure was when the weather changed to winter up North, his family always knew they would get a call teasing about the upcoming storms. Making people laugh with his wise wit and sense of humor is what we will all remember and miss the most.
