The moment in time has arrived and the Lewis Crematory Family has been asked to announce to all that Ms. Nattely Carrie Bates has permanently changed her address to 777 Highway 7, in that beautiful city called Heaven as of  Wednesday, January 17, 2024. 

Nattely C. Bates was born on May 30th, 1955 in Lower East Side Manhattan to the late Ladora and Nathan Bates who preceded her in death many years ago.

Nattely was educated in New York at Art and Design High School and graduated in 1973. Attended Mercy College for her Associate degree in computer science in Dobbs Ferry New York in 1984.

She worked at a law firm named Jacobi and Myers in Manhattan for many years as an Administrative Assistant before moving to Myrtle Beach South Carolina in 2001.
Ms. Nattely Bates was a certified caregiver for the Caregivers of South Carolina from 2007-2018. She worked at Horry County Schools from the years of 2009-2017 and retired.
Her last job before her departure to heaven was at Bluegreen Vacations from 2018-2023. The Lord called her home on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024 at Grand Strand Hospital in Myrtle Beach.
She attended The Christian Church in Myrtle Beach. She was baptized at Wellspring Fellowship church. She participated regularly in a bible study at the Well and was a consistent tither.
Her many Talents were sewing, crocheting, and Artwork. She enjoyed singing Karaoke with friends, Reading Joyce Meyer books, and giving people daily devotionals as well as sharing God's words.
She was very generous with her time and talents and would do whatever she could for others. She was a devoted Trekie (Star Trek) and a big fan of Law and Order.  Her favorite movies were Mrs.Doubtfire, Flashdance, Birdcage, and Legally Blonde.

She has three sisters that all preceded in death Katherine Gonzalez (KayKay), Dutches Silvia (Dutchie), and Janet Bates (Starry). One niece preceded in death Victoria Silvia, and a close dear friend Michael J. McDonald.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Carrie O. Bates and Granddaughters Iyana C. Young and Khamari O. Bates, three Nephews Alexander and Andre Gonzalez, and Daniel Lee Silvia, one niece named Adrienne and a host of other nieces and nephews, two devoted Godmothers Otavia B. Davis and Denise Ruth Taylor and other friends are Gwendolyn Richardson, Ms. Darlene and Clark Snow, Jose Camacho, Shari Conger, and Sharon B Seed.

Moments of reflection took place on Saturday afternoon, January 27, 2024, from 4 pm until 6 pm as Ms. Bates will rest in repose at Lewis Crematory Chapel in Myrtle Beach, SC.
