Michael Anthony Winter

Michael Anthony “Tony” Winter, age 59, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Tony was born in Washington, DC on December 1, 1963. Loving husband of Dena Winter. Beloved father of Brandy Moran and Erica (Andrew) Rosa and stepfather of Nikkiya (Ernesto) Flores, Jacey Bruce, and Tyler Bruce. Brother of Mary Newman, Barbara Clifton, James Winter, Kathleen Adams, Sharon Winter, Robert Winter, Karen Malafy, and the late Joseph Winter, Harry Winter, Richard Winter, and Patricia Winter. Dear son of the late Joseph William Winter and Catherine Louise Winter. He is survived by 3 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Tony was an incredibly talented self-taught drummer from a young age, having played in several bands over his 40+ years of musicianship. He touched countless lives from his many years of playing music.

The beach was always Tony’s happy place, with many trips to Ocean City and Myrtle Beach, which he relocated to for the last year and a half of his life to live out his dream with his wife, Dena.

A kind, generous, hard-working, loyal, and beautiful man inside and out, he would do anything for anyone he knew that was in need. The love he expressed for his family and friends was a very strong part of who he was. That love, along with his laugh, we will miss immensely.
