Melissa G. Patterson

Melissa Gaye Patterson, born January 28, 1961, was called home on Friday, September 13, 2024. Her beloved mother, Snowie Stroud, and her granddaughter Zoi Patterson (Haven/Heather) were there to greet her.

She is survived by her father William “Bill” Jameson and two sons Haven Patterson (Heather Patterson) and Travis Mullen (Kara Mullen). She was the proud Gigi to her eight surviving grandchildren: Brye Richardson, Leland Patterson, Karina Patterson, Kaydynce Patterson (sons/daughters of Haven/Heather), Kylee Mullen, Endrik Mullen, Watson Mullen, Hudson Mullen (daughter/sons of Travis/Kara).

Melissa was a colorful soul who enjoyed crafts, yard sales, and advocating for her religious beliefs. She was a small business owner of a greenhouse where she loved to show off her skill with plants because she had such a green thumb. 

She will be missed dearly.

her journey’s just begun
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days or years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can pass away.
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched
for nothing loved is ever lost
and she was loved so much.
