Margaret Ann Stettler passed away peacefully in her home on January 21, 2025. She was 88 years old.
Maggie, as her friends and family knew her, was born in Huntington, WV, on September 7, 1936, to Genevieve Elaine Leckie Stettler and Kenneth Otto Stettler. She graduated from Huntington East High School in 1954 and went on to earn a bachelors degree and two masters degrees from Marshall University, Huntington, WV. She served as president of Delta Zeta sorority while an undergraduate. Maggie was a retired schoolteacher (elementary and preschool) and business manager.
Maggie perhaps loved nothing more in this world than a fountain Coca-Cola and a pack of nabs, however, a close second would be a walk on the beach. Her love of the sun and ocean brought her to Myrtle Beach, SC, where she had lived permanently since 1986.
Maggie loved cars, gardening, and woodworking, and was an avid antique toy collector, with a special focus on Mickey Mouse toys.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and nephew, Kenneth Scott Stettler. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Otto Stettler, Jr., and wife, Marilee; her nieces, Dana Leigh Stettler French and Andrea Marie Stettler Martin; and five great-nephews and one great-niece.
The family will hold a private service at a later date.
Miss Maggie is entrusted to the care of Kelvin Lewis, the funeral director, and the Lewis Crematory & Funeral Home Staff of Myrtle Beach, SC.
