Mabel Edith Walters passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, at the age of 95, surrounded by her son and daughter.
Born in Tennessee, Mabel met her husband, Ralph Marlin Walters, and they built a life together, residing in the Harrisville, Pennsylvania area for nearly 50 years. After Ralph’s passing, Mabel relocated to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to be closer to her children.
As a devoted mother, Mabel is survived by her daughter, Susan Mays, and her husband, Thomas Mays, of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; her son, James R. Walters, of Conway, South Carolina; and her four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also cherished by many loving friends and relatives.
Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her mother, Rhoda Tiller; and her daughter-in-law, Carol Walters.
A private service will be held at a gravesite in Pennsylvania in the future. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to those who provided unwavering care during her final days.
Mrs. Walters is entrusted to Kelvin F. Lewis, the funeral director, and the Lewis Crematory & Funeral Home staff of Myrtle Beach, SC.
