With heavy hearts, we remember our beloved Lou, who left us unexpectedly at the age of 61. In this time of profound sorrow, we come together to celebrate the life of a man who brought joy, love, and warmth to all who knew him.
Lou was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Brenda Cozad. Their bond was one of true partnership, filled with countless cherished moments. Whether they were riding motorcycles, enjoying a round of golf, traveling to a new destination, or simply sharing a dinner, their love and companionship were evident to all who witnessed it.
Lou’s passion for life extended beyond his immediate family. He was a son who made his mother Maria Carmen Furtado immensely proud. His loyalty and care for his family were unwavering, and his presence was a source of strength and comfort.
Lou is survived by his Loving wife Brenda Cozad, Mother, Maria Carmen Furtado, Sister Sandy Lariviere-Furtado, Brother Joey Furtado, and his Niece and Nephew.
Lou was preceded in death by, his father, Manual Furtado, brother, Manny Furtado Jr., and sister, Liz Furtado.
Lou lived his life with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure. His love for riding motorcycles was not just a hobby but a reflection of his free spirit and desire to experience the world in all its beauty. Golfing brought him joy and camaraderie, and his travels with Brenda created memories that would last a lifetime.
Though Lou’s time with us was far too short, his impact on our lives was profound. He taught us the importance of living life to the fullest, cherishing the moments we have, and holding our loved ones close. Lou’s spirit will continue to inspire us, reminding us to find joy in the simple pleasures and to embrace each day.
As we say our final goodbyes, let us remember Lou not with sadness but with gratitude for the time we were fortunate enough to share with him. His legacy of love, adventure, and joy will live on in our hearts.
Even though you didn't like to lead…Be the lead…We will be following… Rest in peace, dear Lou.
You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
The family will be planning a Celebration of Life and we will share those details when they are complete.
Mr. Furtado is entrusted to Kelvin F. Lewis, Funeral Director, and Lewis Crematory & Funeral Service Staff.
