Joyce Dawn Coy

Joyce Dawn Coy, 74, of Conway, SC, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 18th with her husband and children at her side. 

Dawn was born June 20, 1950, in Beauty Mountain, WV to Leander Donald (Bun) Holliday and Wilda Etta Syner Holliday. 

She retired from DuPont in Belle, W.V., where she worked as a Lab Tech. Dawn was hired at DuPont at a time when good-paying jobs were scarce. As a single mom, she provided well for her family and was very generous with everything she had. Dawn had a great sense of humor, loved music had a lovely singing voice, and loved animals, especially dogs. 

Dawn married Randall Eugene Coy on November 5, 1994, and moved to Conway, South Carolina, where she spent the rest of her life.  

Dawn leaves behind her husband, Randall Coy, daughter, Tami Messer (Ronnie) son, Stacey Metheney, grandchildren Kourtney Brown, Natalie Barfield, and Katie Huffman (Adam) great-grandchildren, Marshall and Marley and four other great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister Sandra Kay Seelinger (John) and a niece Mischelle Seelinger.

In keeping with her wishes, there will not be a local service.  Close family members will gather at Nuttall Cemetary at a later date.
