November 20, 1936 – June 19, 2026
Joseph A. D’Agostino, 89, of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on June 19, 2026. Born on November 20, 1936, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Joseph and Fannie Inglis D’Agostino.
Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Edythe Papp D’Agostino, whom he married on February 11, 1995. Together they shared a life full of love, laughter, and countless rounds of golf.
He is also survived by his sons, Marc D’Agostino and his wife Diana, and Michael D’Agostino; his grandchildren Nicholas and his wife Andrea, Lea and her husband Scott Aconfora, Alyssa D’Agostino, Jackson D’Agostino, and Mary and her husband Jeff Wright; and his great-grandchildren Josephine, Penelope, Tyler, Mia, and Francis.
Joseph is further survived by his stepchildren: Nicholas Papp, Gregory Papp, Jonathan Papp, his wife Dena; their sons Bradley and Drew. In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Gregory J. D’Agostino.
Joe and his wife Edye enjoyed golf, and the fairways held many fond memories. He will be remembered for his warmth, his spirit, and the joy he brought to all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed by his family and all whose lives he touched.
