Frank Menezes Jr. Obituary

August 22, 1966 - March 10, 2024

Frank Joseph Menezes Jr., “Frankie,” unexpectedly passed away in his home in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was the son of the late Frank J. Menezes Sr. and Georgina A. (Walker) Menezes. He was the brother of the late Keith Menezes and the late Bruce Menezes. Frank is survived by his children; Haley Menezes of Madrid, IA, and Jacob Menezes of Ames, IA, and was a loving father figure to Nicole Pelrine of Billerica, MA; his brother Kevin Menezes of Billerica, MA, and his sister Robin Menezes-Giacoppo of Myrtle Beach, SC; and many nieces and nephews.

Our father was a great dad, brother, uncle, and friend. He was always willing to give a helping hand, he would’ve given anyone the shirt off his back to help someone else; that’s just the man he was. He was always our number one fan in life, even for the smallest of victories we had.

Anyone who knew him knows that he had the best stories; there were many and they were unforgettable. Our dad always opted to have a good time, often dancing to any and all music, hell he would still dance if there wasn’t anything playing. He lived life fully and without care. He also had a passion for cooking. If anyone ever came to the house, there is no doubt that you would have a home-cooked meal before leaving; he was such a giving person.

He always loved an adventure and you never had to ask him twice. He was always the first one there and the last one to leave, making friends wherever he went. Frank enjoyed all New England sports teams, fishing, camping, and snowmobiling; most of all he loved being surrounded by friends and family.

By trade, he was a copper/slate roofer with the family business, Triple M Contracting, but he was more than just that. He was a jack of all trades, from remodeling entire kitchens to flooring to building decks, he could do it all. We have no doubt he could’ve rebuilt Rome.

Our childhood was filled with nothing but joy. We often spent our summers going to our seasonal camp in Ossipee, New Hampshire, where we enjoyed our time with friends and lots of days spent lounging at the lake. We’d often go back in the winter to go ice fishing where he’d haul us out on the ice in a sled behind the four-wheeler, that was always the best part since we’d be freezing our butts off, and always seemed to be the windiest day.

In his younger years, he’d often be found out having a good time with friends; we’ve seen so many old photos of everyone partying by the pool at his parents. It wasn’t until after having children, that we moved to the town of Dunstable, MA. Haley is an avid animal lover and turned the Billerica city boy into a farm animal-loving dad, between having horses, chickens, pigs, a goat, a rabbit, and a dog. He became as much of an animal lover as she was. Often coming out to help with fixing the barn or watch some of her horse shows. He loved being “Farmer Frank” and truly enjoyed the agricultural lifestyle.

In his final years, he resided at the beach, a place that brought him peace and comfort. The quietness allowed him to take in the true pleasures and the simplicity of life.

We grew up not knowing our grandparents, but he always reminded us of where we came from because family was everything to him. He grew up with great values and morals instilled by his parents and passed them down to us because family needs to take care of each other.

He loved his children endlessly, and we were his world. It gives us comfort that he is now at peace with our late brother, his eldest son, Joshua Menezes, a loss our father struggled with deeply. He will be missed by many friends and family, but most of all, his children.

We appreciate all of the condolences and kind words of our father. At this time, memorial services will be held at the Foxhill Cemetery in Billerica, MA at a later date to be announced.

Mr. Menezes is entrusted to the care of Kelvin F. Lewis, Funeral Director, and Lewis Crematory & Funeral Services of Myrtle Beach, SC. (843) 294-0011
