Frances Musella Obituary


Frances S. Musella, age 81, passed away peacefully on 1/5/21. She was born May 23, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York to Anthony and Rose Frazia. She met the love of her life, Joseph Musella, on a blind date; married November 17, 1962. Joseph preceded her in death on Sept 5, 2010.
Frances loved to love on people. She had an amazing gift of conversation both verbally and in her art of writing. Her hands were rarely still. Frances sewed from patterns her four daughters' clothing in their young childhood. Frances had a knack for creating meals like a restaurant style menu. Frances' love of baking always put a smile on many faces and tummies as well. Frances also shared her love of food with the people that she loved. Frances enjoyed singing in her earlier years and was a member of St. Gerard Magella RC Church Choir; Frances loved music. Frances enjoyed Broadway musical shows tunes like "South Pacific, The King and I, and The Sound of Music". Frances was a big fan of Johnny Mathis. Frances was considered to have a good singing voice. Frances had natural tonal ability despite the lack of formal music training. Frances auditioned with the Paul Whitman Orchestra. 
Frances attended and graduated from St. Gerard Magella elementary school; attended and graduated from Jamaica Vocational High School; was accepted to and attended Long Island College for Nursing in Brooklyn. Withdrew from the program and was hired and worked for Equitable Life Ins Company in Manhattan working in the Human Resource Dept. After raising four daughters as an at home mother she worked for The Odessa House in Ozone Park, New York. Frances was an assistant to the residents who were handicap. Frances loved her job as it was rewarding and filled the void of having an empty nest. Frances then went on to work for Gutman and Mintz in Richmond Hill, New York where she was the billing secretary for a Landlord Tenant Firm.
Frances resided in Brooklyn, New York from birth then moved to Laureton, New York after marrying. Frances also lived in Queens Village, New York; Ozone Park, New York; Pembroke Pines, Florida; Long Island, New York; Scranton, Pennsylvania; Surfside Beach, South Carolina and her last of her days in Conway, South Carolina.
Frances favorite quote was "Let Go and Let God" and "Live and Let Live"
Frances is survived by her two brothers Ralph and Albert; four daughters - Diana, Maria, Susan and Joanna; six grandkids - Francesca, John, Rebekah, Joseph, Jessica, Grace Frances; 5 great grandkids - James, John Robert, Luke, Ava, Joey and Natalie. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
In lieu of donations please have a tree planted in her memory as Frances had a great love of trees and nature.
