Eugene Dale Dunn

Eugene Dale Dunn (Gene) 73 of Tabor City, NC, died September 14, 2022, at McLeod Health in Loris, SC.  Gene fought the battle with cancer for over 7 years. He was born on February 3, 1949. Gene was very talented, he loved to draw, and write poetry and songs.  Gene enjoyed spending time with family and his friends at Rockefellers'.

Gene was preceded in death by his mother Lottie L. Wright Dunn, Adoptive father Bill Dunn, sister Lottie Ann Dunn Thomas, and life partner Pat Johnson.

Surviving family: Daughter Dana Michelle Weathers (Dustin), Son: Brendall Shawn Fipps (Susan) Grandchildren: Ashley Nathans (George Heinen), Kristy Duin (Will Duin), Chandler Antley (Shea Hood).: Kerrigan Weathers, Taylor Herndon, Jackson Weathers. Great Grands: Alyssa Nathans, Hannah Nathans Annabelle Duin, Jacob Duin, Bryson Antley, Madison Heinen, Mila Heinen. Londyn Hood, Xander Hood. Brothers: James H. Dunn (Wanda) and Thomas B. Dunn, Jr. (Helena),  many nieces and nephews.  Special Friends:  Debra Murphy, Wendy Walker, Mark Wright, Robert Spivey.

A Graveside Service will be held at Collins Cemetery Hagan Road, Loris, SC On October 29th, 2022 at 11:00 am.

Scripture: II Corinthians 5:6 & 8, “Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the //lord.”
