Emma B. Moore

Mrs. Emma B. Moore, age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at her home in Conway, S.C., with her family by her side.  Mrs. Moore was born in Warrenton, N.C., on September 20, 1932, the daughter of the late Vernon and Mary Alice Walker Powell.

After graduating from High School In Warrenton, she joined and served for 3 years with the Women's Army Corps during the Korean War.  She then attended North Carolina College in Durham, N.C., graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.  She taught High School English for several years in Philadelphia, PA. area.  She loved traveling, reading, gardening, and her family.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and Gabriel Negron of Conway, S.C.  The family expresses their sincere thanks to all the nurses, social workers, and employees at Lower Cape Fear Hospice, who helped during this difficult time.

Burial with military honors will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Westside Memorial Gardens, 2525 West Road Conway, S.C.
