Dustin Keith Furr

Dusty Furr, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the age of 69. He was surrounded by the love of his family during his final moments.

Dusty is survived by his devoted wife, Mitzie, and his two sons, Clinton and Charlie, who will carry on his legacy of love, strength, and kindness. He was also a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and laughter throughout his life.

Born to Charlie and Vera Furr, Dusty was a man of many passions. He played football at New Mexico State University, proudly wearing the number 54. His love for sports extended beyond the field; he was an avid NASCAR fan, often sharing thrilling moments of races with family and friends. Music was another of his great loves, and he found joy in sharing his favorite tunes with those around him.

Dusty is also survived by his siblings, Charlene, Karla, and Dean, who will forever cherish the memories they created together. His spirit of camaraderie and friendship touched many lives, and he will be remembered for his unwavering support and love.

As we mourn his passing, we take comfort in knowing that Dusty has reunited with his parents, Charlie and Vera, and his brother Allen in heaven. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A celebration of Dusty’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share stories and honor the remarkable man he was. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Dusty’s memory.

Rest in peace, Dusty. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
