Donna left us to be in the presence of the Lord on August 28, 2026 after a brief illness.  She is survived by her father Earl Searcy, husband Tony Hughes, daughter Ashley Borrosco, son Adam Hughes and wife Ashley, grandchildren Aubrie Borrosco, Gage Borrosco and Fynley Hughes.  She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret McQueen, and brothers David Searcy, Darryl Searcy and Dennis Searcy. 

Donna was loved by everyone and left a lasting impression on all she came in contact with.  She lived with such a joyful spirit that brightened every room, leaving her children and grandchildren a legacy of unconditional love and warm laughter.  Words will never express the hole left in this world without her in it.

A memorial service will be held on September 19th, 2026 at Groce Funeral Home at 72 Long Shoals Rd. Arden, NC 28704. Visitation will be from 1PM - 2 PM, service to follow immediately after.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
