Donald Jay Worsham

Donald Jay Worsham, age 59, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, at his residence on Johns Island, South Carolina.

Donnie, as he was affectionately known by his friends and family, was born on February 25, 1966, to Pete and Irma Worsham of Swedesboro, New Jersey. He was a proud 1984 graduate of Penns Grove High School, where he was a standout member of the varsity wrestling team. Donnie formed lifelong friendships during those years, and he remained close with many of his classmates throughout his life. He was an avid camper and member of the Salem County Sportsman’s Club. Donnie was also a former member of Calvary Baptist Church in Carneys Point NJ.

Known for his quick wit, generous spirit, and kind heart, Donnie always had a way of making people laugh and feel at ease. He valued his friendships deeply and was always there with a helping hand or a good story

Donnie’s greatest pride was his daughter, Emily Rose Worsham, who survives him. He spoke often of her with love and admiration. He is survived by his brother Matt Worsham and sister Summer Worsham.

He will be remembered with affection by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

A private memorial will be held by the family at his favorite place, Folly Beach, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donnie’s name to a charity of
