Donald "Dolphin Don" Dunn

Mr. Donald F. Dunn, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at his home in Little River.

Donnie was born in the Philippines to the late Donald B. Dunn & Constance E. Davis.  Donald's Father was a Commander in the Navy who had his own ship, Donnie inherited the love of the sea from his Dad.  Donnie, also known as "Dolphin Don", fished and worked construction up and down the Grand Strand since 1987.  He has lived in the Little River area for about 30 years.  Donnie would do his best to help anyone who needed it.  He didn't have much but would do what he could and was humbled by what he had.  For the last 12 years if Donnie wasn't out fishing, you could always find him at his second home, The Pilot House in Little River. 

Left to cherish Donnie's memory are his four children whom he loved more than anything, his daughters, Haley C. Dunn of Savannah, GA., Mary L. Dunn of Murrells Inlet, SC., and his sons, Dakota B. Phillips of Conway and Nathan D. Dunn of Conway, his 7 grandchildren, his stepmother, Clara Dunn, his 2 siblings, Mary L. Dunn of N. Myrtle Beach, and Sean Dunn of Maryland, and many cherished friends he met along the way. 

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Pilot House in Little River located at 4490 Mineola Ave. Little River, SC. 29566.  

Mr. Dunn is entrusted to the care of Kelvin F. Lewis, Funeral Director, and Lewis Crematory & Funeral Services of Myrtle Beach, SC.
