Donald Bigelow, 82, born September 30, 1942, passed away
September 8, 2025, with his son David and daughter-in-law Lorie by his side. He is predeceased by his loving wife Suzanne, just two weeks prior of whom he was married to for 60 years. Don lived in Connecticut for 79 years before moving to South Carolina to be closer to his son and daughter-in-law. Don was a avid lover of watching trains and being by the rails. He often sat with his laptop watching trains on the rail cams taking notes of the engine numbers and how many cars the engines were pulling. He always had a smile, found humor in everything and, could strike up a conversation with anyone he met. Don was a Navy man and was on the USS Durant 389. He loved to tell everyone of the wonderful places he traveled to while he served in the Navy. Don will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Mr. Bigelow is entrusted to Kelvin F. Lewis, the funeral director, and the Lewis Crematory & Funeral Home staff of Myrtle Beach, SC. (843) 294-0011
