David fought hard in his battle against cancer, always having continued support from family and friends. He never lost hope that he would beat it.
At his core, David was a creative soul with a gift for drawing and pottery. His love for the outdoors led him on many adventures, including sailing in the Caribbean and kayaking down the Verdi river. He found enjoyment in reading, music, and solving crossword puzzles. He especially loved watching his grandson, Oliver play sports.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years Leslie (Davis) Nylin, having met in 1981. His daughter, Corinna, and her husband Jason Lamb, and their son Oliver. His brother Zero Nylin (Robert Jr) and his wife Quintilla. His sister Trisha Nylin and her husband Tom. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends. He is pre-deceased by his parents and his sister, Wendy.
Being a friend of David's meant having a loyal companion for life. He had a genuine concern for the well-being of others, always making an effort to reach out and check in on his loved ones.
No formal services will be held. Donations may be made in his memory to the V Foundation for Cancer Research at www.v.org.
