It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Craig P Smith a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He was an amazing husband, a wonderful dad, and a man who loved his family more than anything in the world. He was also a true friend to many and never knew a stranger. With his warm heart, kindness, and welcoming spirit, he had a special way of making everyone feel comfortable and loved. His laughter, generosity, and genuine care for others touched countless lives.
One of his greatest joys was becoming a grandfather when Liz welcomed his first grandson, Rowan, into the family this past July. He was grateful for the opportunity to experience the incredible love and happiness that came with being a PaPa. Embracing this new role brought him great joy, and the memories created during that special time will be treasured forever.
He shared a life filled with love, laughter, cherished memories, and countless meaningful moments with his wife, who was also his best friend and partner. His loss leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who has reached out, brought food, offered support, or shared a memory of him. Your kindness and love have brought comfort during this devastating time and are a testament to how deeply he was loved and how many lives he touched.
In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
He was deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure. His memory, his love, and the beautiful moments he shared with his family and friends will be carried in their hearts forever.
Mr. Smith is entrusted to Kelvin F. Lewis, the funeral director, and the Lewis Crematory & Funeral Home staff of Myrtle Beach, SC. (843) 294-0011
