Johnny Owens, born on December 3, 1978, passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends. Johnny was a devoted husband, loving father, caring son, brother, grandfather, and loyal friend whose laughter and kindness touched everyone who knew him.
Johnny was the beloved husband of Barbara Defosse, with whom he shared a life filled with love, support, and cherished memories. He was also a proud and loving father to Stephen, Brandon, Austin, Nicholas, and Noah, who meant the world to him. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and being there for the people he loved most.
Johnny was especially proud of his grandchildren, Cora, Darla, Asher, and Kendra. Being a grandfather brought him immense happiness.
Known for his warm heart, sense of humor, and ability to make others laugh, Johnny touched the lives of everyone around him. He was the kind of person who would help anyone in need and always made others feel welcomed and cared for.
He is survived by his loving mother, Carol Cone, and stepfather, Milton Cone; his father, Alan Owens Sr., and stepmother, Suzy Owens; his brother, Alan “AJ” Owens; and his sister, Kaitlin Bright. He also leaves behind many extended family members, close friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
Johnny’s love, laughter, and generous spirit will never be forgotten. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day.”
