Brian Deppen, age 56, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2024, at his home in Conway, South Carolina.
Brian was born on August 26, 1968, in York, Pennsylvania, to Charles and Carol Deppen. He graduated from Dover Area High School and worked for Magnesita Refractories in Thomasville, Pennsylvania, for 22 years. After moving to Conway, South Carolina, Brian became a supervisor for Horry County Solid Waste Authority.
Brian was predeceased by his father Charles "Bill" Deppen and brother-in-law Christopher Barlup. He is survived by his wife Medea Deppen, daughter Harleigh "Gracie" Deppen, stepdaughters Korinn Copenheaver, and Lindsay Copenheaver, mother Carol (Reisinger) Deppen, brother Tim Deppen (Rhonda Deppen), sisters Jennifer Deppen-Tischler (George Tischler), Cheryl (Deppen) Pierce, nephew Justin Barlup, nieces Brianna Barlup, Larissa Deppen, Kristen Pierce, Nicole Pierce, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Brian enjoyed camping, kayaking, fishing, crabbing, going to the beach, and riding his motorcycle. He will be greatly missed and loved by family and friends.
A private scattering of his ashes will take place at a later date.
Mr. Deppen is entrusted to Kelvin Lewis, the Funeral Director, and the Lewis Crematory & Funeral Home Staff of Myrtle Beach, SC.
