Beverly J. Smith

Beverly Jane (Langmaid) Smith 65, of Longs, SC, passed away on April 28, 2026 in her home.

Beverly was born on August 9, 1960 in Oregon, OH to Clair Langmaid and Eileen Pyle. She grew up in Sandy Springs, GA, and attended Furman University where she was a member of the gymnastics team. 

She worked as a teacher for 35 years, and was known for her educational student trips to Europe.  

Bev enjoyed reading, gardening, watching gymnastics, and Mimi loved spending time with her grandkids

She is survived by her husband Bob Smith and 3 kids: 

Katie and Rob Swanson (Becca, Bobby and Nate)

Michael and Mallory Smith (Reagan, Riley and Cooper)

Tina and Ethan Leake (Kinsley) 

As well as her father, Claire Langmaid, and brother, Andy Langmaid. 

She was preceded in death by Eileen Pyle and Marty Langmaid. 

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Faith PCA Myrtle Beach (805 79th Avenue North,  Myrtle Beach, SC 29572).
