Betty Brinkley Westbrook Obituary

Betty Brinkley Westbrook, age 76, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, while at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, South Carolina. Betty Westbrook was born on September 19, 1947, at Highsmith Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. She is the daughter of the late George Arnold Brinkley and the late Ida West Brinkley of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Betty Westbrook graduated from Millbrook High School, Raleigh, NC in 1965. During the time she was at Millbrook High School, she was actively involved in school activities including being a leader in student council. She gave the commencement speech entitled “Interpretation of the School Seal” in 1965 at her high school graduation. She was a devoted Christian and was a member of Mid-Way Baptist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was a very talented writer and was a gifted interior decorator. Members of her church best remember her kindness, her willingness to help others, and her decorating the entire Mid-Way Baptist Church.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to all who were blessed to have known her. Survivors include her ex-husband, Arthur T. Westbrook; two beautiful daughters, Tina Joy Westbrook and Tisa Katrina Holt; a son-in-law, Brian David Holt; four loving grandchildren, Tyler Rampazzo, Alexis Holt, Faith Holt, and Blake Holt; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Betty Westbrook was predeceased by her sister, Jo-Anne Brinkley; and two brothers, George Brinkley and Bill Brinkley.
To honor Betty Westbrook’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Betty Westbrook’s family invites you to please privately celebrate her memory in your way. She will always be remembered and will be forever in all our hearts. The family requests to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
