Anne Joyce Kay

Mrs. Anne Joyce Kay, age 78, of Myrtle Beach, SC., wife of Charles "Chick" Kay for 56 years passed away on, Sunday, May 25, 2025, at MUSC Health in Florence with family at her side.  Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Hayden) Grimes.

Anne resided in Pawtucket, Rhode Island until moving to Myrtle Beach, S.C. in 2004. She worked for Hasbro and Rhode Island Textile before retiring in 1999.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Lori (Kay) Rodriques and husband Luis, two grandchildren, Christopher and Chelsea Rodriques, three great-grandchildren, Neveah, Castiel, Levi and her cherished dog Louie.  She is also survived by two sisters, Emily Berndt of South Carolina and Kathleen Sawka of Cumberland, Rhode Island.  Many loving nieces, nephews and family members survive.

She was predeceased by her sisters Jackie Martin

Trudy Harris and Pat Theroux and brothers Buddy, Don, Eddie, Alan, Bobby and Ricky Grimes.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in her honor.

Mrs. Kay is entrusted to Kelvin Lewis, the funeral director and the Lewis Crematory & Funeral Home Staff of Myrtle Beach, SC.
